After two nights in Levanto we took a train to Florence! We saw everything we could, ate amazing pizza (Gusto Pizza) and gelato, and got to experience, by luck, their “White Festival”. The second night we were there, each plaza had a different type of entertainment set up going on. Most of the plazas were different genres of music, however, in one plaza we watched the Discovery Channel projected on the side of a gigantic historical building. In another plaza we saw old artists making pottery, and in another we joined in on a drum circle! We stayed out late checking out what each plaza had to offer and we had a blast. Florence was such a fun, small city. You can walk everywhere and the shopping is great, so if you go, stash some cash away just for the clothes! (Unfortunately, we were on a tight backpackers budget)
